Here is a page of very useful information I have learned over the last 5 years buying repairing and selling Suzuki lt 3 and 4 wheelers.
When your lt quad is running cruddy , example: overheats and fouls spark plugs frequently and you want to restore peak performance , begin troubleshooting proceduce by replacing spark plug with "new" correct heat range plug (thanks Andrew :-) and hopefully it will correct problem.

One of the most common problems is caused by the intake boot leaking air. The symptom it will produce is sporatic idling due to incorrect air flow and gas mixture. To correct problem , buy a new rubber intake and o ring and replace old one . I would not suggest trying to repair the old boot being vibration , heat , and gas will do a number on almost everything available derailing a successful repair.

Next tip concerns damaged splines on the axles and hubs because of worn bearings and loose axle nuts. Some.."yea'hoo" will no doubt weld the old hub to the axle thinking maybe of a quick cheap fix. It works for them, but in the future will cause some poor soul misery beyond words ! In order to remove the axle use a grinder and grind the weld off. You will know you have went far enough when the hub spins freely on the axle ( it is not supposed to do that). Now you can remove old axle and let us get you a good replacement.

SO.. what about those rounded off wheel screws you say ? No tool built by man will hardly get in there to remove those stuck and out of shape lug nuts. My solution comes in the way of a die grinder and a pointed sharp debur bit. Be VERY CAREFUL and "knaw" your way through one side of the nut, then you can open the two cut ends enough to remove with a cold chizel or punch.

One of the most annoying projects I encounter is removing broke off bolts and screws out of cases. Best thing to do is remove cover containing broken screws (normally not just screw) and replace with a good cover. This will save much grief and anguish.

I cringe at the thought of removing a lt tire from the wheel I would rather fight a doberman with an attitude ! TAKE IT TO A TIRE SHOP and make it their headache. :-) It brings a bit of amuzement to watch atv tire wrestling! Only problem is that in my community they have been known to turn the shop sign to "closed" until I leave the parking lot ! Best thing I have found to do with a worn out tire is cut it off the wheel. I use an electric band saw for cutting the rubber and a cold chisel to cut the steel belt loose at inner wheel lip. Be VERY CAREFUL to not scar tire air sealing surface. Next you will need to remove layers of rust and "crud" from the wheel surface with a wire wheel on your grinder..and then clean area for the new tire to be installed.
